Random Notes - A Blog

Fellow Traveler Rick McNees is sharing his substantial collection of photographs of Prairie School buildings. In addition to well-known works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Rick’s travels have allowed him to visit some of the off-the-beaten-path buildings listed in this pages. He has posted these on his own website, and generously permitted their reproduction here.

Most of what happens with this site occurs solely in the company of my own computer, so it’s refreshing to personally meet individuals who’ve written and contributed. I had a short, one-hour visit a week ago with Tom Shearer, whose photography looks with unusual clarity at the works of Purcell & Elmslie, and others. Visit Mark Hammons’ Organica site for an appreciation of Tom’s efforts.
